Harbor delivers gifts to nearby students for Christmas.

Teddy Bears for Christmas

Story and photo courtesy Harbor

On Dec. 11-12, Harbor employees including Port Police Officers reached out to neighboring students for an early Christmas.

Each year, Port employees participate in Operation Teddy Bear — this year visiting 15th Street Elementary School in San Pedro and Hawaiian Avenue Elementary School in Wilmington. Employees read to first-grade students to help demonstrate the importance of volunteering and kindness, and distribute teddy bear gifts.

It’s a beautiful gesture, Port employees!

Los Angeles Harbor Commissioner Anthony Pirozzi Jr. reads to first-graders as part of the Harbor’s Operation Teddy Bear.
