Friends of Banning Museum invites the community attend its next “Keeping History Alive” lecture at the Banning Museum, 401 East “M” St. in Wilmington.

Alchemy and art: An Exploration Into
Wet Plate Photography
January 11, 2020  – Banning Museum Residence

The lecture and demonstration by hobbyist Matthew Schnittker, “Alchemy and Art,” is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, in the museum’s historic stagecoach barn.

Mr. Schnittker will talk about his journey of learning the wet plate process as well as give a live demonstration of the process from a technical perspective. There will be a question and answer period after the lecture and demonstration.
