In honor of African American Heritage Month (AAHM), the Los Angeles Association of Black Personnel, Inc. (LAABP) continued its long-running tradition of hosting events to celebrate City employees and the community’s achievements.

On Feb. 20, LAABP partnered with LAPD’s Oscar Joel Bryant Foundation (OJB) for the annual Black History Month Food Festival in Grand Park, hosting numerous food vendors/trucks from the surrounding community.

Additionally, Feb. 28, LAABP sponsored the City’s AAHM Closing Ceremonies and presented the LAABP Scholarships to high-school seniors; City Employee Development awards; and the LAABP Trailblazer Awards honoring exemplary City Employees.
