Tomas Carranza

Tomas Carranza has been appointed the permanent Assistant General Manager and Chief Technology Officer of the Office of Planning and Innovation, LADOT. In this role, Tomas will oversee the Bureaus of Information Technology, Transportation Planning and Land Use Review, Universal Basic Mobility, and more.

Over his 30 years of transportation planning experience with the City, Tomas has led teams that delivered award-winning programs, including the Pandemic Travel Behavior Study and the Zero Emission Delivery Zone program. He also played a key role in securing more than $500 million in grant funds for transportation initiatives through the LADOT Mobility Investment Program.
