St. Baldrick’s fundraiser is back, with changes.

LAPD/LAFD: The St. Baldrick’s head-shave event – a fundraiser managed by members of the LAPD and LAFD – is back to being held live and in person this year. The annual fundraiser went virtual last year due to the pandemic.

St. Baldrick’s invites to people to have their heads shaved bald, and to raise sponsors for their endeavor. The event raises funds nationally to fight childhood cancers.

Three virtual head-shave party has been scheduled for 8 a.m. – noon May 21 at a new location — The Vineyards at Porter Ranch, 20065 Rinaldi St. The event includes a free breakfast, face-painting and rides for the family, live music, and more.

Local organizers say they have raised more than $1 million over the previous 18 years. The local event is part of the nationwide St. Baldrick’s Foundation. The Club has been an official sponsor annually.
