Rachel the Humanitarian
Congratulations to PSR III Rachel Placensia, who received the LAPD’S Lt. Charles Mealey Humanitarian Award for her commitment every day to serving others. She won the award for 2021 but was only just given the certificate due to a pandemic delay; Chief Michel Moore presented the award to her at Metro Communications Center in March.
Rachel was also named the First Responder of the Year in 2021 for Metro Center during National Dispatchers Week that year.
The Club says well done, Rachel, for receiving this award, and thank you for all your service to the department, the City and other people.
