Fifty-Year Man
The Board of Public Works honored David Cook, Wastewater Collection Worker II, who entered his 50th year of City service.
The event took place Nov. 29.
David Cook, a longtime Club Member, began his City service for Rec and Parks in 1974 before transferring to the Bureau of Sanitation and Environment in the Clean Water Conveyance Division.
He’s well known for his distinctive cowboy hat-style hard hat, and says he has no plans to retire at the moment.
Congratulations, David, and thank you for your outstanding five decades of service to Los Angeles!
The Club thanks Azya Jackson and Heather Johnson for information and photos of the event.
