Airport Police welcomes new Officers in April, May.

First New Officers of the Pandemic Era

In ceremonies in April and May during the coronavirus pandemic, Airport Police welcomed five new Officers.

From the April ceremony, held inside the Airport Police Station, Officers Oscar Fernandez, Renald Galstian, and Karlo Hegedes joined the Airport Police family.

In the May ceremony, held with social distancing at the LA Police Academy, Officers Jerry Anderson and Nicholas Hernandez joined the force.

The new Officers’ responsibilities will include patrolling Los Angeles International Airport, the second busiest airport in the country and the fourth busiest airport in the world. They have started their post-academy training and will be followed by a six-month Field Training Program, specific to aviation law enforcement under the guidance of a Field Training Officer.
