LA CityView Channel 35 nabs 3 first-place honors.

The awards poured in for the much-honored LA CityView Channel 35 during a recent independent association presentation.

SCAN-NATOA – the Southern California and Nevada chapter of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisers – awarded three first-place Star Awards at a ceremony held Sept. 26 on the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

Channel 35 earned top honors in the following categories:

  • Community Event Coverage:
    LA Current: Hollywood Pride Parade
  • Magazine Format:
    LA This Week #1295, and
  • Profile of a City Employee:
    LAPD Women’s History Month 2024.
LA CityView Channel 35’s award-winning episode of LA This Week featured President Joe Biden’s local announcement of his student debt relief plan from earlier this year. The episode was hosted by Natalia Bilbao.

In addition, Channel 35 took home seven more awards, placing second, third and fourth across various categories.

The Star Awards, organized by SCAN-NATOA, recognize excellence in government video programming across California and Nevada.
