2 Lifesavers
Story and photos courtesy Sanitation
Two employees at Public Works/Sanitation and Environment were honored in April for performing acts that demonstrated their humanity at least and might have saved lives.
Lance Brown, Refuse Collection Truck Operator out of the South LA District, performed the Heimlich maneuver to clear a co-worker’s throat in the lunch early one morning.
Christopher Farrar, Maintenance Laborer, North Central (at the time), witnessed an elderly man fall in the parking lot of a credit union, and helped him to safety inside.
Congratulations to Lance and Christopher for their honors, and thank you for your service to Sanitation and Los Angeles.
