Citywide Career Fair
More than 1,000 job seekers were estimated to have participated in one of the City’s largest recent career fairs.
All Public Works bureaus, including Contract Administration, Engineering, Street Lighting, Street Services and Sanitation took part. Other departments participating included LADOT, Personnel, the LAPD and LAFD, Rec and Parks, the Council office of Tim McOsker, and the office of LA County Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell.
The event was held June 29 at Ted Watkins Park in South LA’s Hacienda Village.
“City departments are hard at work to make their hiring processes more accessible to that Angelenos can get hired and help us move LA forward,” Mayor Karen Bass said.
LADOT wrote on social media: “Those in attendance had the opportunity to speak with and connect with organizations and employers. Attendees could apply for position on the spot with onsite application assistance as well as personal interviews and testing.” Workshops were also presented on proper attire, resume writing and interviewing.
This career fair was targeted mainly at candidates who are not current City employees to join City employment.
The Club looks to promote future job and promotion opportunities as we receive them.
