A BBQ for B2V

On July 5, the Airport Police Baker to Vegas running team held a barbecue at Airport Police HQ to raise funds to help defray costs for admission to next year’s Baker to Vegas footrace.

Security Officer Eduardo Acevedo won a free customized hat for referring a new Club Member signup. Making the hat for him was Club Customer Service Rep DeAngelo Thompson (right). It pays to refer new Club Members!

The #ClubMobile team was there to help raise funds and support the team. It was also #Cl;ubMobile’s first visit to Airport Police’s new headquarters adjoining LAX in Playa del Rey. The Club sponsors the Airport Police’s Baker to Vegas team.

This Baker to Vegas footrace is an annual event for public safety organizations throughout the world. The relay race is a 120-mile, 20-stage footrace between Baker, California, and Las Vegas and is considered the “Super Bowl” of law enforcement; the champions are the best, in terms of physical fitness and logistics the police world has to offer. The race was created by and is managed by the Los Angeles Police Revolver and Athletic Club, and the Employees Club is grateful for their leadership.

Good luck to the Airport Police Baker to Vegas team, and all Baker to Vegas teams, in next year’s race!
