Catalina Island
James Case, DWP, and his wife, Renu, visited Catalina.
“Catalina Island is a quick and easy getaway destination. It has a beautiful beach. We got to explore part of Catalina Island with a private tour,” Renu reports. “We saw bald eagles, golden eagles and bison up close. My husband loves eagles.
“We are building more memories together. We are blessed, thank you Lord Jesus.”
South Dakota
Dolores Corona, DWP, and her husband, Philip, visited Mt. Rushmore in July. “It was truly a dream come true for us,” Dolores reports. “America, our great country, has so much to offer and so much to see.”
Dominican Republic
Rhonda Brown, LAPD/Newton, and Kenny Brown, LAPD/Jail Div., spent their 31st anniversary on vacation in the Dominican Republic.
The Bahamas
Jeff and Vanessa Francis, Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, led a group that included other City employees Timothy Mingo, DWP; Kimberly Garrett, Library; and Keyonna Kidd-Goins, Public Works, on a trip to the Bahamas in July and had “the time of our lives! It is always fun to travel with a group, and this group thoroughly enjoyed it!”
Utah
“In July, I presented a program at the annual American Rock Art Research Association meeting, which this year convened in Grand Junction, Colo. While traveling, I included a number of prehistoric sites in Colorado and Utah on the short itinerary — some I’d seen before, and some were new.”
