The Club’s intrepid traveler and educator, Dr. Ed Krupp, Director of the Griffith Observatory, Rec and Parks, Club Member, recently visited the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico, with specific stops at these ancient Mayan sites: Sayil, Xlapak, Labná, Acanceh, and Mayapán. Here’s his report.

“Its setting was literally in Paradise, at the foot of Volcano Arenal in jungle-like surroundings. I also visited the capital city San Jose (Gold Museum, Jade Museum, etc.).
