On May 9, LACERS held its seventh Employee Appreciation Week and Guiding Principles event to award employees who best represent the principle categories of professionalism, innovation, respect, kindness and caring, and teamwork. It was the first Guiding Principles event in person since the pandemic, although honors were presented virtually in the interim.

LACERS hosts Employee Appreciation and the Guiding Principles Awards to highlight and promote the outstanding achievements of the public servants who work tirelessly every day and consistently exhibit the LACERS guiding principles.

Employee Appreciation Week was held May 7-9, in conjunction with National Public Works Week.

Employees who were voted and selected by their peers for the honor collected certificates. What a way to congratulate and acknowledge those employees who work hard every day and make sure those they are serving are treated with respect and professionalism.

The event, was held in the LACERS Board Room in its new headquarters building.

Hosts acknowledged all those nominated for each award and then the awardee.

Guiding Principles Awards

2024 Honorees: The Guiding Principles Awards are presented to individuals and teams nominated and voted upon by their peers. These individuals and teams champion the LACERS Guiding Principles and incorporate these values into their daily work.
