EXCITING NEWS!!
The 2022 Grand Convocation will be held in-person, in Los Angeles, July 13-16, 2022.

After reviewing your responses to our recent Convocation Attendance Survey, the Convocation Committee has decided to go ahead with an in-person Grand Convocation…something we’ve all been hoping for! “Thank you” to all those who participated in the survey.

 

 

 

 

 

The Los Angeles County Tahlijes and Otyags invite you to the 2022 Grand Convocation to be held in Glendale, California from July 13-16, 2022. 

The Grand Convocation Committee is excited to welcome you to the Los Angeles area, where the sun always shines (well almost!). We’re rolling out the red carpet for your fun and enjoyment, planning an experience that will be forever memorable for all who attend. Please save the date, and begin making your hotel and travel reservations (instructions for online registration will be emailed to you).

We’ve booked the four-star, centrally-located Hilton Glendale Hotel, where we’ve negotiated special rates on rooms, activities and events. There are fabulous shopping malls and restaurants close by with all the amenities to go along with our beautiful weather. FLIGHTS TO LOS ANGELES – BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS EARLY
Hollywood Burbank Airport is the closest airport (BUR, about 8 miles). The next closest airport is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX, about 28 miles). So, we suggest booking your flights through Hollywood Burbank Airport, if possible.

The 2022 Committee has been hard at work planning fun and interesting activities, as well as our business meetings, traditional luncheons and night time events. Use this listing to plan your travel; a more detailed schedule for all activities will be emailed later: 

WEDNESDAY, JULY 13

  • Warner Bros. Studio Tour (to be confirmed): Experience the excitement of a working Hollywood studio where iconic movies and TV shows are filmed. 
  • Avak Sbarabed and Avak Dirouhie Reception: All KOV Brothers and DOV Sisters are invited to an after-dinner Dessert Reception to kick off the “Hye-Way To LA” 2022 Grand Convocation (complimentary; no-host bar).

THURSDAY, JULY 14

  • Mexican Fiesta under the Stars: An open-air Mexican-themed dinner buffet and party.
  • Workshops, Presentations, Rehearsals, Committee Meetings.

FRIDAY, JULY 15

  • DOV Sisters’ Luncheon
  • Hollywood “Kef Night” Dinner Dance: Be a Star, and bring your dance shoes!
  • Knights and Daughters Business Sessions #1 and #2

SATURDAY, JULY 16

  • The Grand Banquet
  • Knights and Daughters Business Sessions #3 and #4
