Thrilling Softball Showdown!
LADWP, Street Lighting teams battle for championship of Club-sponsored coed softball tournament.
The Club-sponsored one-day coed softball tournament, held March 30 at the Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Recreation Center, brought high energy and fierce competition! Four dynamic City teams faced off in an exciting day of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Teams representing Hollywood LADOT, West LADOT, the LADWP and Public Works/Street Lighting battled it out on the field in a series of close, heart-pounding games that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Every inning delivered impressive plays, solid teamwork and unforgettable moments.
After a string of tightly contested matchups, the team from LADWP claimed the championship title. Tournament MVP Monica Ramorino, a standout female athlete from LADWP, sealed the victory with a clutch, game-winning run that electrified the crowd and secured her place in the spotlight.
This event showcased not only athletic talent but also the spirit of unity among City departments. The Club thanks all teams for participating and invites City employees to join the next upcoming tournaments in softball, soccer, or basketball.
