Eastern Europe
Three sisters – Lourdes Owen, Retired, General Services; Grace Ramos, Library; and Peggy Robillard, LA County Mental Health Services – took their annual religious pilgrimage, this year in Eastern Europe. Many Catholic shrines of saints, icons, cathedrals, basilicas and UNESCO sites were visited in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovakia and Croatia. The sisters also made a solemn and heart-wrenching visit to Auschwitz, Poland, but no pictures were allowed inside the compound out of respect for all the Holocaust victims.
Grand Canyon
