RLACEI mourns loss of former
Board Member Gary Mattingly.
With sadness, RLACEI shares the news of the passing of former RLACEI Board Member Gary Mattingly, who passed away Jan. 22.
Gary served for many years on the Board and just recently retired from the Board last October. Gary was appointed General Manager of Fire and Police Pensions, in which he served from June 1982 to December 2004. He then retired but continued to serve as Interim General Manager until June 2005. He was one of the longest serving General Managers at Fire and Police Pensions.
When he was appointed to his post at Fire and Police Pensions, the fund was valued at nearly $1.5 billion. The fund grew to $12.3 billion when he left City service in 2005.
RLACEI and the Club extend their condolences to Gary’s family and friends, and honor him for his service to the City and the Retirees Association.
