Joe Quan
RLACEI Board Member
The RLACEI Board is pleased to announce the nomination of Joe Quan to serve on the Board as Technology Director. Joe, as an Information Technology Agency (ITA) employee for more than 30 years, brings a vast amount of technological experience to the Board. Some of his skills include the Microsoft Office suite, Google Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Meets, YouTube video posting/editing, Bard AI, Zoom administration, website administration, social media formats, knowledge with Android and IOS cellphone platforms, and photography.
Joe started with the City in 1989 and worked in the City’s department of ITA until he retired in 2019. He is married to Sheung, and they have two sons, Trevor and Travis, who are both second-generation employees with the City of Los Angeles.
Joe has a passion for photography, dining and exploring new places in the world, which he enjoys in his free time.
Joe is an active Retiree who enjoys serving his community and spending time with his family. He serves on several boards, including the Friends of the Chinese American Museum of Los Angeles, where he serves as the Board Treasurer. He also serves as Board Secretary for the Los Angeles Federal Credit Union. Additionally, he is the 3rd Vice President and Financial Adviser for the Summerlin Lions Club and serves on the Coronado IV LMC as Board Treasure.
