The route took participants around Silver Lake Reservoir.

It’s time to get moving again, if you haven’t already!

The pandemic is over, and LACERS Well has begun scheduling outings again for fitness and fun.

On June 22, LACERS Well hosted its first in-person 5k Hike-Walk-Run at the Silver Lake Reservoir led by fitness coach Sean Foy. More than 40 Retirees and guests participated to get their bodies moving!

LACERS provided a light breakfast, and attendees participated in dynamic movements and stretching. Participants split up into three different groups (beginner, intermediate and advanced). The advanced group was led by champion Benjamin Gaetos; the intermediate group by staff member Edeliza Fang; and the beginner group by Sean Foy. All groups embarked on their hike journey at their own pace.

LACERS provided a boxed light breakfast before the event.

Toward the end of the hike, participants were provided a boxed lunch to replenish their body fuel, and most everyone stayed to socialize before parting ways.

LACERS hopes to do more of these in the future.

Thanks to the LACERS Well staff for making the event happen!
