es, it is that time of year again! Open enrollment is here. This is the time to make changes to your health or dental plan or add an eligible dependent.
Remember, if you are happy with your current plan, no action is needed. Your current selections will continue as-is!
The big news is the addition of a Medicare Supplement plan from Anthem for the 2024 plan year. Many members are happy with the current choice of the Anthem Blue Cross Medicare Preferred PPO (a Medicare Advantage plan), and this plan will continue for the new plan year. However, some members missed the Anthem PPO Medicare Supplement plan. We listened, and the Anthem PPO Medicare Supplement plan is now an option for 2024. If you want this plan you must sign up during the Open Enrollment period.
Open enrollment is a great time to review your health and dental options and to have your questions answered by experts. Both LACERS Health and Wellness staff and representatives from the health carriers will be present.
An Open Enrollment packet will be mailed to all Retired members in early October for the Open Enrollment period that begins from Oct. 16 through Nov. 16, 2023. You can register for a virtual (Zoom) meeting or “an in-person” meeting via your MyLACERS account or by calling LACERS at (800) 779-8328.
