Golf Tournament Update
Greetings fellow golfers! Recently I’ve been appointed as RLACEI Golf Director, and I’ve got bad news and good news.
The bad news is that we weren’t able to have a golf tournament in Summer 2021. We need a shotgun start for our tournament, and as you’ve seen, golf courses have been very crowded. Courses at this time can’t offer a shotgun start, as that ties them up for a major part of the golf day.
However, the good news is, we recently met with staff at Alhambra Golf Course and are pleased to report that we have reserved their course, with a shotgun start, for Thursday, June 2, 2022! The course is in great shape and the banquet hall and outside dining areas were recently renovated and look new. Lunch and awards will follow the golf tournament. Alhambra Golf Course has also agreed to provide a free barrel of range balls for our use. Don’t forget to warm up!
Please save the date: June 2, 2022, for the RLACEI Tom Stemnock Memorial Golf Tournament. Although prices to us have gone up, we plan to keep the tournament costs at the same rate for our members and guests, $75 for members and $80 for guests. Email me if you have any questions.
