Welcome Tom!
The RLACEI Board nominated and voted in Tom Moutes as a newly elected Board member. Tom’s term will begin Jan. 1.
Tom grew up in the San Fernando Valley and is a Los Angeles native. He and his wife, Trina, have three children, all of whom are involved in sports and music. He and Trina were married at one of the most magical places on earth, Walt Disney World. Trina is also employed with the City of Los Angeles. Tom’s amazing achievement is that he started his City career as a Messenger Clerk at North Hollywood Regional and retired as a General Manager.
Tom retired from the City in 2018 as the General Manager of LACERS. He previously held positions as Assistant General Manager and Chief Management Analyst. During his 35-year career with the City, Tom has worked at departments including City Clerk, LAPD, ITA, Personnel and Library.
Tom is a graduate of Cal State Northridge with a Master’s degree in public administration and a Bachelor’s degree in business and organizational systems management.
He serves as the Vice Chairperson of the City of Los Angeles Board of Deferred Compensation Administration and as a member of its Investment and Administrative Committees. He also serves on the Executive Board of the Fathers’ Club at his daughters’ school.
The Board looks forward to having Tom serve as we continue to support the Los Angeles City retirement community.
