Ruth B. Perry

Ruth began her term effective Jan. 1 as the first Latina and female RLACEI President. Hailing from Michoacán, Mexico, her family immigrated to the San Fernando Valley in 1967 and has been a resident since. After graduating from St. Genevieve High School in Panorama City, she joined the Army as a Personnel Records Specialist. She began her City career in 1991 and was promoted from Clerk Typist to Sr. Personnel Analyst II, serving as Personnel Officer for LACERS from 2007 through her retirement in March 2018. She looks forward to a promising 2019 for the organization
